Project for an project "Nazism and it Expressions in Europe”

NGO Fonds "Libauscher Film" is looking now for collaboration partners for realizing the project "Nazism and it Expressions in Europe" to be submitted under the Europe for Citizens Programme, Action 4 (Active European Remembrance. Deadline 30th April 2010). The project partners can be nongovernmental organizations which engage with:

· Education of youth;
· Researching of history;
· Artistically creation (for example partnerships of litterateurs etc.);
· Development of tolerance in society.

The project will dedicate to the 70th anniversary of Molotov – Ribbentrop Pact. The aim of this project is to show that the Nazism was a tragedy for German nation too, that must not disarray the nation with authority, that the all of Germans can't to consider about the supporters of the ideology of Nazism as well as the local collaborationists caused a lot of distress in much of occupying countries too.

The activities are aimed in the frames of this project:

· The documentary "Nazism and it Expressions in Europe" filming;

· The promotion of researching activities of youth;

· The organizing of international conference "Youth Against Totalitarian Regimes";

· The organizing of youth creative works travelling exhibition (dedicated to totalitarian regimes of Europe countries);

It is provided – to carry out researches, produce audiovisual materials, organize lectures, and form publications, so as in the form of scholars/students creative works to reflect themes below:

· Less knowing concentration camps of Europe. This issue is including in this programme because Auschwitz, Buchenvald and some greater concentration camps are better knowing for all society usually. However much lesser concentration camps existed in some European countries about which for wide range of society is knows comparatively few (for example – Salaspils concentration camp in Latvia);

· Collaborationists in European countries. A participation of local inhabitant in building and forming of concentration camps. Local inhabitants which had worked in the concentration camps or engaged there in another ways;

· The image of concentration camp in art (in literature, painting, graphic art drawing etc.)

· Ex prisoners of the concentration camps or it's relatives – biography, memories, arriving into concentration camp, life after World War II;

· Questions of tolerance in present Europe. Totalitarian regimes at present days and its influence on the society of Europe. Democratic processes in present Europe and extremism there.
