Audiences Europe Network (AEN) is seeking partners for a new learning programme for European Cultural Organisations focusing on audience development, public engagement in culture and marketing. We are planning an application to the Grundtvig funding programme in 2010.
This application would be for a Europe-wide professional development and learning programme for managers and cultural decision-makers to share knowledge, experience and ideas in the field of audience development and research.
The aims of the programme are:
· to improve skills, creativity and professional recognition for audience development and cultural participation
· to provide opportunities for trans-national sharing of knowledge, skills and experience
· to offer opportunities for cultural managers to undertake networking and fact-finding visits in order to broaden horizons, stimulate new collaborations and create a fertile climate for innovation and creativity
· to improve quality standards in all public-facing aspects of cultural management practice through examination of models of best practice
· ultimately, to improve the experience of audiences for culture
· and allow recognition and understanding of foreign cultures
Audiences Europe Network (AEN) has a long and successful track record of working in this area. We have major partners already in the UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain (Catalunya) and Germany.
