Hybrid Arts: A Public Art project in Art & Agriculture

Hybrid Arts a non-profit organisation is looking for European partners for a project to be submitted under the Culture Programme, Strand 1.2.1 (deadline: 1st October 2009).

The project , through an artististic multi-faced approach, will take awareness of the biodiversity and distinctive agricultural landscapes that are ecological safe-havens maintained by European farmers and food producers in contrast with the urban consumption. The project will create a visual representation of our agricultural heritage and/or contemporary agriculture. By working with a mix of rural and urban artists, from film directors, visual artists, musicians poets and spoken words to Horticultural Artists and Craftsmen, we anticipate the project will encourage more people from different european countries and diverse backgrounds to recognise how their local food heritage is a valuable resource to be celebrated and supported. The network welcomes any new partner wishing to bring its creative and innovative contribution to the development of the project.
