London Street Markets Walk is seeking to expand into coach tourism and CEO Sandra Shevey is seeking an active partner willing and able to invest in the 20-year-old company.
London Street Markets Walk promotes sustainable tourism in over 15 ancient street markets and 33 London boroughs with a view to conserving and preserving the ancient street markets of London. Many of the markets are located in the most deprived areas of London.
Sandra envisages broadening the remit and including more ancient markets in a rota coach tour (where passengers can board on and off throughout the day)
The emphasis would be on sustainability and whilst the tours would be fun they would also inform and educate. All seats would be equipped with ipods of Sandra`s profiles of the markets, currently including Smithfield, Spitalfield, Borough and Covent Garden.
Sandra envisages use of open-top Routemasters (the old 1940s models) as these are the ones she remembers from her first visits to London.
